Online Programming is Being Produced and Distributed By Joint Venture of Radio Television Hong Kong and Education Department (HK)

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- The Hartcourt Companies Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: HRCT; Frankfurt: HCT), www.hartcourt.com today announced that StreamingAsia.com Ltd., its Hong Kong-based subsidiary, has initiated service to a new enterprise that was developed by a joint venture of Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK) and the local Education Department. In addition to producing educational programs for classroom students, RTHK will now distribute VCDs of popular programs and has launched a new website, www.eTVonline.tv, enabling global netizens to enjoy over 700 archived video programs anytime anywhere.

In response to the growing need to improve access to and management of the vast amount of video material online, RTHK is now using StreamingAsia's Digital Content Manager (DCM) software to support the new website. This technology was designed to get content owners immediately up and running with online video while providing a robust and scalable foundation for Internet video uses.

"Major media companies and large enterprises have relied on StreamingAsia to transform their video assets into compelling Internet content," said Patrick Kwan, Chairman of StreamingAsia. "The use of StreamingAsia technology by eTVonline demonstrates the benefits of on-demand and searchable streaming video for e-learning. We are delighted to help RTHK and Education Department maximize the value of their extensive video library network by enabling the student to easily find the learning content they want and need."
