GV, Maybe ML's Kraemer needs his own HWP reality check.

12/07/2000 Report price: $32.00

"At this point, it is unclear whether the current
orders for Unix servers and storage will be a
short-lived upgrade cycle or a sustainable turn
around. Management doesn’t have metrics to
tell so it may be hard to drive to a conclusion."

"Reality Check says it’s just an upgrade so
we’d sell into strength, but there’s a way to go
to our $45 12-18 month price objective."

********

11/14/2000 Report price: $34.13

"HP preannounced a $0.06 EPS miss on better
than expected revenue growth. We are
lowering our FY01 EPS estimate from $2.23 to
$1.96 and our [12 month] price target from $70 to $45."

"...We reiterate our Accumulate rating because
this looks like an oversold situation in our view."
