Exit Poll data indicated that 10% of all voters
in this last election were voting for the first
time. This is why there was so much confusion
in poll booths and a large Democratic turnout.
Uninformed Voters, or "UVs" as political scientists
call them, tend to vote 70% straight ticket
Democrat. If the weather is bad, they stay home.
We had perhaps the worst case scenario for the
Republican Party on November 7th, virtually perfect
weather across the United States. This lead to
a large UV turnout. That explains how the Demos
were able to pull up even in the election.
