Speaking of ORCL, they're reporting next Thursday. There were rumors of weakness some time back, and their last two reports were unimpressive, too much reliance on investment gains. They wouldn't be a new story, though, unless they missed, or met their numbers only because of investment gains.

JRI, fwiw ... I read an article yesterday that said the problem isn't this qtr .. its that tech growth will show continued contraction through at least qtr's 1 & 2 next year. So, I guess the bigger question is when will the bad news end, how bad will it get ... and what valuation will the market place on techs that are growing at a slower pace ... or not at all in some case.

Beats me .... !!??!!

Regards
