What do y'all think of this excerpt from a news article about the Fla. Sup. Ct. argument today?

Justice Major Harding asked whether anyone in Sauls' court held up a ballot and actually looked at it. ``Not a particular ballot your honor,'' Boies said. ``We did tender them in evidence and we asked him repeatedly to look at the ballots.''

Lots of legal cases involve more than 10,000 pieces of paper..... and yet, in a dispute that largely centers around ten thousand pieces of paper and what they mean, the court never once looked at any of the paper?

Am I the only one who is a little bit troubled by that?
