Hang in there Dan, the TRUTH is much closer to your position than to short's position. There are so many positive things happening at GUMM --- Zicam, Swedish Match, P&G to name three --- any one of which could/should propel GUMM's sales and profits substantially.

Speaking of P&G, if you read the press release, you will note that there are aspects of the agreement that could not be disclosed. I think this is just the tip of the iceberg. I think it's a safe bet to say that 1) P&G doesn't enter into relationships with other companies casually --- they do their homework, and apparently GUMM satisfied P&G that it (GUMM) is competent, capable, and can run with the big boys, and 2) P&G doesn't need GUMM to do research for research sake -- P&G can do research themselves (with their 8000+ scientists - per their annual report)-- afterall, they know a little about the goings-on in the oral cavity -- they make Crest! -- I think P&G is connecting up with GUMM because GUMM has both chewing gum expertise AND chewing gum manufacturing facilities that are FDA-inspected and approved. My bet is that P&G is anticipating a Crest oral care chewing gum that will be made by GUMM. And if you know P&G, they strive to have the number one product in whatever market they are in. Go the to P&G annual report on their website: pg.com
and read up. If you don't think a tie-up with P&G is a huge plus for GUMM, ........
