I am familiar with those but they don't apply because they sincerely thought there was a spaceship behind the comet. Do you really think if they had gotten together and said lets make up this thing about a comet and a spaceship that they would have killed themselves anyway? Never mind being in many cases being tortured, thrown into prison and executed after possibly watching your wife and kids put to death????? All that for something you knew was not true? Aren't we straining credulity just a little bit here? If I knew for certain that Christianity was not true I wouldn't even be here never mind let someone kill me for it. Greg
