What - like the breakout in MMM? GMAFBreak! A strong breakout, yes, but breakouts can and do fail. Take Soft's final breakout for example. Extreme volume, because everybody wanted to chase it. And they ALL got trapped.

I *will* fade that one. The rationale behind the breakout is the biggest load of horse manure I've heard in my life! "We're going to grow sales to the optical industry by 4X in the next few years, we promise. Scout's honor." Yeah right, in an optical market crash. It's a huge, slow-growing company deeply sensitive to the economic cycle, trading for 25 times expected earnings going into a recession. Hello? Is *anyone* paying attention to reality out there?

One more thing - I think the market's tolerance for stupidity is dramatically shortened in a bear market. I didn't say it won't tolerate it at all, it just reacts far more quickly.

If there's a ship of fools, the bear is armed with plenty of torpedoes...
