What can we do? We have @Home. Getting another ISP without paying for dialup would require going through @Home. Of course, then @Home's email servers aren't invoked, but unless you skirt the proxy server, you may have other problems. I have already discovered several. One is corruption of icons in other than Outlook email programs. That isn't the case if you use Navigator, but who does that now? Another is name resolution and the associated lost packet syndrome. You don't know what kind of can of worms you might open by engaging another email service. I would appreciate any comments about the above because there is a profound difference between how things ought to work based on their mechanical foundations and they way they actually work when interfaced with other mechanical foundations.
