Hi Collin, Haven't been skiing yet, but have been up to the mountain to check things out, provision the cabin and fill the hot tub. New lifts look to be good and fast, more parking this year, lots of other improvements - you should come up; perhaps interview with one of the BT firms east of the lake and get some boarding in as well? Congrats on finishing up - I'm certain that you deserve the break. Any conferences coming up that will pop stuff like ASTM or ARIA? Some of those runs would certainly help my trade account just now. Capital Preservation? Well, maybe, but reallocation is more descriptive - a lot is now illiquid in real estate, tho I did treat myself (and son) to a '94 twin turbo Supra - red of course. My surrogate Porche, I suppose, but it will blow most anything else off the road; second childhood indulgance. After today, I'm expecting a test of the lows of last week or thereabouts (2500 -ish on the NAZ) before we head up, but with all the "we did XXX, but expect to do worse next quarter" from the tech leaders, I'm not optimistic for a strong rally. Maybe it is finally time for the gizzards, or gold, or ??? Drugs (not recreational<g>), oil/oil service, golds and foods may be the place to go next. If we get the fed rate drop (and it hasn't been completely factored in, which is more and more likely as Mr. G. drags his feet), financials may continue to move, but I'm watching mine close and tightening stops on those multi month swing trades.
