No joke. <if a stock is going to zero you would want to sell before that happens>

So now explain to me the RELEVANT difference between 3/8 and zero? Or 7/8 and zero? Or even 1 11/16 and zero?

If you paid $30 or $20 or $15 or whatever higher price, and hold less than 5000 shares in a diversified portfolio, What is the point in selling? You've already assumed the big loss, what is another $1000 here or there?

Is that last $1000 saved going to make a difference?

No, if it goes to zero. No material substantial difference at all.

BUT, if it returns to $10 per share in 2003. Yes. 10x return on your 'remaining' money in 2 years.

Selling at this point in time is a sucker play. About the same as buying at $60 was. Unless it is tax related selling and you plan to repurchase after 30 days.

Correction Mark, they say 2002, and the recent rulings of 2000 have now made it easier for the line sharing, so court battles have been settled and ended.
