Dan, <Intel has a fixed overhead cost that dwarfs AMD's>

Well duh. Any company making five times the number of processors as their competitor will obviously have a higher fixed overhead cost. The difference is made up for in higher profits and higher profit margins.

<and Intel's non X86 business loses money while AMD's makes money.>

Just watch, Dan. Soon AMD will sell off their Flash division to Fujitsu in order to continue funding processors. Then AMD won't have any "non-x86" businesses to worry about.

Sounds stupid? It is, but never underestimate Jerry's ego.
