DOUG, as an AMD follower, the droids are always hearing about Intel's diversification. But, approximately speaking, Intel doesn't make money on anything except microprocessors. As for server CPUs vs. Desktop, I'm sure the margins are better but the last figures I saw were 1 million servers/quarter, out of 32 million processors/quarter. As to capital expenditure, the flip side is Intel's been padding out profits with capital gains for several quarters now. Maybe $2 billion a quarter. Their stock portfolio has taken a hit lately like everybody else's; it may come as a bit of a shock when a quarter goes by without that cushion. As to the left part of this, beats me, the AMDroids and Intellabees both seem to be overall as right wing as the rest of SI. Cheers, Dan.
