Hopefully everyone has learned something. Anyone following LindyBill over the last couple of years likely has learned something about pursuing and achieving a financial goal, having a positive life passion away from the market, taking responsibility (with class) for personal investment decisions that don't work out, and having an optimistic attitude about the future.

Unfortunately I don't think most of those folks have. Many have flocked to follow their favored guru and continue to be led by their emotions. You are right about how the thread changed back then and how many made mistakes. And it is fair for some who tired of the banter here to create the Moderated thread. However, the holier than thou attitude of some who flocked there is quite unbecoming of mature individuals. There is room for all kinds of discussions. But some of the belittling commentary from those who left here (and the profanity some expressed privately to us who remained) created an unnecessary animosity that continues today. I mean for God's sake I would think that folks would lighten up and let bygones be bygones. Consequently a lot of folks have missed out on a lot of free drinks and laughter on a personal level. Rick
