Ratan:

I dug back as far as 1996 for QCOM, and found that for FY 1996, revenues were $814 million and net income was $21 million. At an average (split adjusted) share price of $5.50 in 1996 (range $4 to $7), those numbers translate into a P/S of about 5.5 and a P/E of about 140. For FY 2000, we have revenues of $3.2 billion and net income of $670 million, for a P/S of about 25 and a P/E of about 120, using the present $100 share price.

So not much difference in P/E, but a much higher P/S.

FWIW.
