Voice Mobility Signs Letter of Intent with Aliant

VANCOUVER, BC, DECEMBER 7, 2000 - Voice Mobility International Inc. (OTCBB:
VMII and FWB: VMY), the developer of the Unified CommunicationsÔ software suite,
announced today it has signed a letter of intent with Aliant Inc., Atlantic Canada's largest
telecommunications company with approximately 300,000 voice-mail customers.
Together, the companies will jointly develop and test VMI's new carrier-class Unified
Communications software suite within Aliant's state-of-the-art research and development
facility, known as the LivingLABTM innovations environment.

on our existing Unified Communications product," said Voice Mobility's Chief Executive
