Florida Legislature to Pick Electors Jack Thompson Thursday, Dec. 7, 2000 Florida's President of the Senate John McKay and Speaker of the House Tom Feeney held a joint press conference late Wednesday announcing that they will go forward with steps to allow the state legislature to name its own slate of electors to the Electoral College.
