We have seen with our own eyes plenty of reason to believe the hand counting process was being subverted: Judges twisting and poking cards, floors covered in chads, attempts to take the process out of the puplic eye into closed rooms. Not to mention constantly shifting "standards" for judging voter intent. the result would have been to count all the counties. but they precluded that possibility by having demonized the hand count.
