Exactly, TLC.

Once the bond of trust is broken in any business relationship, it is for most part, irreparably lost.

In a marital or familial situation, people are willing to generally "hang in" there because there is also a bond of love that usually supercedes trust. But even that can be irretrievably lost if the offending party continues to abuse the relationship.
