Hi Bob,

I exchanged 17K from my UOPIX account to my Money Market Fund (MPIXX) today. I wanted to have even more cash available to spend if UOPIX hits 30 again. Obviously, I didn't know of INTC's warning when I did this. I still remain heavily invested in UOPIX.

In my opinion, the market fundamentals are still quite grim for techs, and the specter of the election circus still looms large. I find it hard to believe that anyone will be willing to buy and hold more tech shares over the weekend. Of course, if indications point to a Gore concession before the market closes tomorrow, all bets are off. I think a strong rally will immediately follow such news.

Even after today's UOPIX decline, I am still slightly above breakeven for the year, thanks largely to the huge NDX spike just 2 days ago.

Good call on scaling out after your recent gains.

Season's Greetings,
John in Mild Iceland
