Haggis is stuffed into a sheep's stomach. There I draw the line.

Mountain oysters and turkey fries are the cooked testicles of each critter. Not bad with gravy.

This is the first evening in months when I've been home alone, and I decided to open a bottle of wine and relax. I wrote Xmas cards and then rewarded myself and wandered in here.
But I am having a LOT of trouble tracking. Mice to green apples to durian-- to PORK BUNGHOLES???
I skipped dinner in favor of wine and cheese. I used to do this a lot and then post with what I believe was some coherency. I must be out of shape.

Just thought I'd inform you that you are DEAD WRONG about Korean food. So there! Course I only found this out on a business trip to Korea in the early 90s. It was wonderful and I don't generally go for weird food. Korean food really isn't all that weird and somewhat resembles Japanese. At least in the places I visited which ranged from International hotel fare to village holes in the wall. Bulgogi (beef, at least I'm pretty sure it was bovine, not canine, though frankly it was good enough that that wouldn't bother me) prepared on a table center flamed pan. Fresh greens of many kinds. They even eat whole cloves of fresh uncooked garlic but their variety seemed milder than ours. Could have been the beer or native rum which raised my tolerance level. And Kimchi with the standard American breakfast stuff they served at the hotel buffet was excellent. Great for adding some zest to scrambled eggs and hash browns. I've yet to find a restaurant here which served Korean as good as that.
