Personally, I'd like to see him appoint a democrat senator from a state with a republican governor. The exact post is not all that important, maybe transportation or something. BTW, Whitman has a lot of enemies in the party for some reason.

Christine Todd Whitman, I believe some talk heads have said she is slated for a position in Bush Adm.

Falwell's remarks should come as no surprise given the hard line against abortion drawn by the Religious Right. Whitman is pro-choice, although I don't know the parameters of her opinions in this matter. As we've all seen, the debate is framed by the extremists on both sides, and the vast majority of Americans in the middle don't seem to have a voice anymore.
