Only 21 Percent Think Gore
Presidency Would Be Legal

If Al Gore's countless lawsuits somehow land
him in the White House, only 21 percent of
Americans would consider his presidency
legitimate,
a Zogby/Reuters poll indicates.

A whopping 60 percent said they would
believe Gore stole the election, and 18
percent were not sure in the nationwide poll
of 333 adult voters.

The poll, released Tuesday, had a margin of
error of plus or minus 5.7 percent.

Another Zogby/Reuters poll, released today,
finds support for President-elect Bush. Only
30 percent said Bush stole the election,
while 47 percent said his win was
legitimate, and 23 percent were not sure.

The nationwide poll of 339 adults also had a
margin of error of plus or minus 5.7
percent.
