it will get the same treatment jdsu did...pop and peak...dumb money left to ride it down in s&p 500 funds

Just a reminder. There are different kinds of S and P 500 additions. Those that get promoted from the S and P midcap 400 and those that get to the S and P 500. VTSS just got added from the midcap and the pop was not that big, although that could change by Monday when it is added. There is some selling by funds that track the midcap index.

However, Yahoo, AOL, JDSU, BRCM are a different story. They were higher market caps. These stocks had big moves. JDSU did not move as much as the others believe it or not!
Of course, they seem to set up nice shorting opportunities as well but the initial gains are made by building a long position in them.

Right now, I see 2 big additions that could have big pops, PMCS and JNPR as they are not in any S and P index at this time. IMHO, these are just special risks in shorting these 2 names....there might be others.
