Saturn,

I really like your posts. And I agree 100%.

re: "The PC will be back with a bang ! I cannot predict exactly when !"

I've held Intel stock through a lot of bad times. Each one has been very difficult. This is looking like a really exceptional challenge.

"Windows 2000 & Other Software Needs"

Is anyone using Windows 2000? Do you need a 1.5Ghz machine? I hope so, but I don't know.

What other applications might need the hardware? Voice recognition has been talked about for years, but doesn't seem like it is coming anytime soon. Photography and video are the areas that I think will drive the need to upgrade, but that isn't going to happen anytime real soon either.

In the offices I have worked in, we clamored for upgrades to the 286, 386, 486 and new Pentiums. We liked upgrading to Pentium II and thought it was justified, but we were not thrilled as with other upgrades. Upgrading to 1.5Ghz; no need at all.

Regards,

Jeff
