Frank, I think you're projecting your wishes onto Bush. He is admittedly a rather blank slate.

Bush's campaign has shown a willingness to do what it takes to win. They certainly have fought hard against the Gore campaign since the election, even taking a state election to the Supreme Court. I think any candidate who is down by a miniscule percentage of votes deserves a thorough recount, and it's obvious to me that Katherine Harris would have found that her 'discretion' extended to one had it been Bush who was down.
