I think that the prices are somewhat set in most cases. If anything, there is a steep payment penalty in just about each of these cases if the other company tries to get out of the contract.

AMD's flash seems to be highly differentiated and is likely to weather any slowdowns rather well at least in the next few quarters (very hard to tell how things will be "years" out). However, there are no guarantees in this business.
