If the Dow Jones Transportation average has been flat since early summer during this "energy crisis" of yours, you can bet that energy prices had no affect on tech spending. The smart money has known all along that it was a refining and distribution issue Like I maintained all along), not a shortage of crude. Hence oil is back under $30.

There is no slowdown in fiber optics spending. Even when Northern Telecon preannounced and started the telecom-equipment sell-off they said that there were inventory issues only and that they were guiding growth HIGHER for 2001. Gene Kearney posted news about this "no slowdown" just this week on the winners thread.

I appreciate you not pursuing these stupid "you were wrong" games. I don't.
