Raymond and I exchanged some emails a while ago regarding the best delivery system and we have settled on Ethernet over fiber to the home (not the curb or node). We also will be able to install the local distribution system for electricity becoming the first truly integrated services company. The recent problems in CA are perfect for our strategy. Our first telecom project is slated to be installed in Napa county next March. The current posts were so on target that I had to let you guys know what we are doing as you folks are right on target. Our problem is that this is a capital intensive endeavor and we are open to offers ;-) All the national developers are very excited because there is no love lost between them, the rboc's and electric co's. Their homes sell for 20% more with broadband availability. We will deliver 100 Mbps to the home. That bandwidth allows IP tv, real time VOD, ASP services to residences, voip phones at the home, all sorts of other stuff that is not proven yet available. I'll post here any relevant announcements that come out (no hype), and our web site has more details if anyone is interested, www.competisys.com btw, clearworks terminates fiber at the curb and takes coax into the house according to the opticalsolutions rep they are developing their own set top boxes and are making some improvements so that could change - delivering IP tv is the tough part we are tackling Pete
