TM-H,

<< Automatically is as vague as it sounds. It checks sometimes, but not consistently and according to rules which are not at all apparent. If you are dealing with a frequently updated page and are set on automatically, then you really need to hit refresh to have any assurance you are looking at a current page >>

Yup!

I right clicked on "automatically" and got a reasonable explanation.

I may experiment with the settings.

I do however use refresh often in some cases instintively and I'm thinking "automatically" may be best setting for my habits.

Long time Beta Tester of IE through it's various Beta's starting at 4.0. Haven't played with settings much since July when I configured my current platform. Overall I'm pretty well optimized.

Thanks,
