Hi Bob,

Yes, I fully agree. I've observed that about half the time when a high-profile company warns, their stock price goes up the following day. Very unpredictable. It often turns out to be a whipsaw though. It seems that many times after a warning, the stock goes up, only to retreat a few days later to even lower lows. Most are fooled and many are burned in both directions as just the opposite of what should logically happen transpires. The same thing happened in late September when Intel warned about 3Q revenues. Remember? They only had a very small decline the next day, but were crushed a couple of days later. Everyone was aghast.

If we get a big move up tomorrow, and the NDX put/call ratio drops significantly, I MAY take a significant position in USPIX at the close. I may rethink this because I am extremely concerned about a huge rally occurring as soon as it becomes apparent that Bush is the certain victor. The time to short may well be the day after we get that Bush rally -- for ONE day only.

Keep watching those futures and options! They really telegraph what is about to happen... well... sometimes! Heh! :-)

Season's Greetings,
