I doubt that there will be any really serious
efforts at vote reform.

This will be like campaign finance reform.
Something to talk about that never gets done.

I suspect that certain political parties
prefer the current system, which gives
more opportunity for "mischief."

Miami had fraud in the mayoral election
a few years ago and didn't really make
any significant changes.

Dear lawdog: You gotta be kidding. Cook County Illinois, Newark, N.J., etc etc. Here in Fla. the counties with the scanning type voting machines (forgot the name at the moment) are Republican. It was the Democrats who seem to prefer the Votematic, it was a Democrat RIGHT HERE IN PALM BEACH COUNTY caught going from Precinct to Precinct WITH A VOTAMATIC IN HIS TRUNK. The Democratic Party is similar and probably controlled IF THE TRUTH WERE KNOWN by the old Labor bosses. Strip out all their cheating and I bet Bush won the Popular vote by MILLIONS. JDN
