WANTED -

Skilled Information Technology professionals with experience working with IBM punch cards.

Will Train. Must qualify by means of a pre-employment test that combines a written test with demonstrated special skills. Ex-corporate CFO's and accountants are especially desired.

Sample written test -

If you are presented with four IBM punch cards, with one blank, one completely punched out, and two punched at random, what is your answer to a question as to how many votes for Gore are present?

a. one
b. two
c. three
d. four
e. How many do you want?

Correct answer is d), but an answer of e) qualifies you for a supervisory position.

Skill Test -

Place an virgin IBM card under a potted house plant that is provided. Assuming that the house plant comes from a florist in a predominantly Democratic precinct, infer the voting intent of the damp geranium in the pot. If you are unable to infer a Gore vote, attempt to make the IBM card pregnant and try again.

Fine Print -

If the applicant IS a damp geranium, he is ineligible for reasons of over-qualification, but wins a package of 100 pre-registered absentee ballots as a consolation prize.

Regards, Don
