Approximately 10000 palm cards were printed that had voting instructions that told the people to punch number 3 for Gore. They did not realize their mistake till midday and tried to correct at precincts with new cards and verbal warnings... The third hole (labeled #5 for Gore) was the intention, but as we all know now - The #3 was pointing at Bush (first hole)... Sad story, but definitely voter error/stupidity and one that can only have happened to a small (in more ways than one) group... David
