Sorry Dan! Florida LAW allows for EITHER candidate to request a recount within 72 hours after the election in ANY COUNTIES he desires. Moreover, GORE (and even the Supreme Court of Florida) even gave Bush a SECOND chance after the 72 hour period to agree on conducting a STATEWIDE recount. You can't claim territorial advantage when BUSH turned down not 1, not 2, but THREE chances to recount the whole state. Again, GORE followed the LAW of FLORIDA in choosing certain counties.
