Hi Carl - I'd be careful in drawing conclusion from Judge Clark's utterance. To echo your sentiment

I'm glad I'm not the judge on this one.

in your response to my previous post, I suspect all the justices involved, ranging from the US SC to the trial courts at Leon County, are trying not to interject any personal opinion to their respective cases. This is probably the 3rd rail of American judicial system. Personally, I think this is Socraticism at the finest!

Time will tell. But here is a conspiracy theory. Since the FL legislature "has thrown down the glove," one or more suits will tilt in favor of VP Gore. The end result is that FL legislature will send the Bush slate to Congress. Gov Bush will become the 43rd President of the US, with a price [I will explain later.] At the same time, VP Gore will be the leader of the "unity movement." He will honor Gov Bush as the 43rd President of the US, with a price <VBG>!

Btw, not sure what to make of the Duvall County case. However, as I ve theorized previously, the Gore camp is wise to concentrate its efforts with only a few cases b/c of the resource issues. IMHO, overrunning the FL judicial system can only give tactical advantage to the Bush camp.

best, Bosco
