Furthermore, Miami-Dade wanted to conduct the process behind closed doors away from the camera's. So your assumption is wrong. Miami Dade
went into hiding in a room full of Democrats with one or two Republicans. And although ignored by the mainstream press, those Republicans
complained vociferously about the process and claimed fraud was taking place.

Good point Michael, and as a matter of fact, one Republican was removed from the proceedings for protesting a Gore "vote". Sounds fair, no. You can come in and watch, but don't try to exercise your opinion.

Any time you have partisan humans counting anything, it can't be as accurate as a non partisan machine.

At the very least, there is the appearance of unfairness.

Okay folks we have to shut this thread down in the wee hours to rewind it. It was wound up to run one month, however, we should have given it a day or more extra in the winding, but it won't make it through tomorrow.

Maybe we can just replay the last months posts, after all it seems like I've read them all before. Or else we should kick it up a notch in the quality level....oh never mind, we'll just rewind it.

The Constitution also does not address accuracy or removing doubt from everyone's mind. It addresses fairness. Subjective counting methods pull the result further away from fairness. TV cameras filming the process doesn't insure anything. How many of us watched Gunzberger in action? Were we able to stop her? When the Republican present objected he was offered the opportunity to have security throw him out.

OK FOLKS! ONE OR TWO FINAL QUESTIONS, OK? ...LET's TRY TO NET-NET IT OUT.

I admit, some of you have well thought out points, but to NET-NET it all down, is it true that all of you Bush supporters still believe that it's simply tough that the people who voted but did not follow the rules and punch the chads all the way through should have their votes thrown out even if the chads were hanging only by one or two corners?

QUESTION?
In other words, if they did not follow the rules precisely for voting then their votes should not count?

YES OR NO. Let's see if we can get a rapid tally with Yes or No.

Here is why many on this thread are useless!!!

A bit off the subject of your post, but I have a question, which I feel has not been addressed. If so it's only been addressed lightly.

Responsibility

re·spon·si·bil·i·ty (r-spns-bl-t)
n., pl. re·spon·si·bil·i·ties.

1. The state, quality, or fact of being responsible. See Synonyms at obligation.

2. Something for which one is responsible; a duty, an obligation, or a burden.

____________________________________________________________

We as Americans don't take responsibility for our actions as much as Americans used to. It gotten so the blame is shucked off to some other thing or person...AND...Excuses are substituted in place of taking responsibility.

We saw Clinton go to the point of lying.

Gore fails to do the right thing.

Bush hides a DUI arrest and fine.

Palm Beach voters blame the ballot.

And we find the canvassing boards FL. counting hanging chad and dimples.

Sticking to this election how could we have prevented things from getting to this point?

First of all many voters failed to either read and study their butterfly ballots...then they cry like babies that they've been screwed over. No court has bought that crap, which makes me happy. I say to those voters...grow up! Many have given life and limb so you can exercise your rights, when it comes to voting pay attention and do it right.

Al Gore...grow up and get a real job. Get in touch with what Americans put up with...AND that is our White House stay out.

To voters in general. Follow instruction and clean your chads. You probably were told this in school. If no it's printed on the Votamatic. Any hanging chad or dimples will go straight to the recycle bin. No more determining voter intent or babysitting you crybabies!

America...GROW UP!!!! Take some responsibility!!
