Joan, For some reason, investors are convinced that higher interest rates cannot hurt Freddie the Freeloader or Fannie Farmer, but that lower interest rates are very positive. Not true in either case. With the stocks at tops, the economy slowing down, at best, and new home sales at an all time high, these things have only one way to go fundamentally. And, eventually, fundamentals will lead the stocks down.
