Jeff,

Until AMD gets some corporate business, I've always thought that they were vulnerable to Intel using the PIV strictly in the consumer space to take market share from AMD; so what if they sell no PIIIs into retail? As long as corporate America continues to buy Intel only why couldn't they maintain their margins on the PIIIs?

The problem with this is that Piiis need to compete with Athlon in other segments, therefore the prices have to be somewhat competitive. Intel can't sell the same Piiis to corporate market for higher price and other markets for lower price.
