>EMERYVILLE, Calif. (CBS.MW) -- Intraware shares climbed 31 percent on Thursday following news that the company's annual contract with Commerce One would be renewed.




Commerce One will use Intraware's SubscribeNet service -- Web-based software delivery and update service -- to connect global buyers with suppliers over the Internet. The Intraware software provides Commerce One customers with personalized online archives of software entitlement.

Intraware (ITRA: news, msgs) shares rose 63 cents to $2.63 on Thursday. The stock hit a 52-week-high of $99 on Dec. 30, 1999.

Commerce One (CMRC: news, msgs) shares closed down 44 cents to $35.19.
