Pat,
I think it was Mark asking about scans.. However, I stumbled into a new program (what's new?) .. Ravenquote.. the bad news first.. currently Qfeed is it's only data source and it could be better.. this month they plan to add a new data vendor (ATF).. It is also in version 1, which means although it is incredibly polished (Office 2k style)Now the good part.. It allows scans to be built in ANY time frame and used in quote sheet cells, as color studies on charts, and as the usual alerts. Any indicator can be put in a cell and set up as an alert column whereby whenever a threshold you specify is reached, the cells indicate whatever info you specify.. change color, display text.. etc. And of course any column is sortable. CCI still not available for scanning but expected shortly, along with live trendlines.
I do get a freezup once a day or so but.. it is version 1.. Once they have an alternative data vendor in place it will be the best out there...
Here is an example of a scan I use in a scan and a cell column..
ema(close,40,0,D,-1,)>= ema(Close,40,0,D,-2,) AND pdi(14,14,D,,)>ndi(14,14,D,,) and Last > Open(D,,) and stock(5,3,3,D,,) <60 ema(close,40,0,60,)>=ema(Close,40,0,60,-1,) AND stock(5,3,3,60,)<=60 and stock(5,3,3,60,,) >= stock(5,3,3,60,-1,) ema(close,40,0,10,)>=ema(Close,40,0,10,-1,) AND Last > ema(Close,40,0,10,,)
It is a triple screen of sorts.. the daily for the trend (macd or slow ma), the hourly for the dip oscillator, and the 10 for the entry. Will integrate CCI as soon as it is available.. www.ravenquote.com
