Don't you think it presumptuous for you to lecture this group on the basis of knowledge gained through history books, chat rooms, and 6 months of investing experience?

uf,

I can tell you one thing, I was never through the massive bull run in the 90's so my head isn't clouded. All I know is what I read from the history books. I don't believe it's "different" this time. And yes, its presumptuous for me to lecture you. The only reason I occationally follow this thread is to keep up with what the other guy is doing because I believe 90% of the market thinks exactly like this thread. We are no where near a bottom. You guys will all be giving up when we are. I don't know, maybe we are going to re-write history and it's different this time?

If history repeats itself I would be buying big time right now as history has told us, all bear markets have rallies and this might not be the bottom but this smells like rally time to me. I have been loading up on my favorites at a greatly discounted prices. I am long many stocks currently from the Naz and Dow, I plan on making alot of money the next few months.... IMHO

frank..."market corrections"

one must only step back a bit from the screen...change the time period on their charts from minutes to months, and applying a less then myopic view, see how the jagged edges smooth and the line from 1929 moves upward.....

it's good when gloom and doom becomes pervasive....for when it is believed things are so bad, the only thing that can happen is that they improve...

watch intc today...if it doesn't get hammered it is a sign that we are approaching an end....rates may even be cut this month...
