brunn, whatever works for you. In hindsight I would say why invest in an overly volatile stock like AMAT if you don't try to take advantage of the volatility by doing a little timing. Emphasis on 'try'. Are you buying now?

With a stock that swings as widely as AMAT, I've often thought that simply selling half every time it doubles, and doubling up every time it drops by half, might beat by-and-hold.
