I emailed ABC awhile back and said I heard a rumor in the chatroom that Bob was cancelled. They wrote back that he was not. I then asked why was he leaving on Dec 17th and they wrote back saying it was when he has his scheduled vacation. Now we all know that media stars use every trick in the book to get a better contract. Our favorite TV shows are in jeopardy now due to a potential strike. I get a big laugh that some call others "bottom feeders" as it implies that what they do is live off stuff taken from the bottom... I LOVE to eat Dungenes Crabs but I sure wouldn't want to eat what they eat! Besides, I thought Bob believed he was tops! 8) Some of the best "bottom feeders" preempt Bob's show on KGO during football season. The shows have callers "discuss" just how rotten or wonderful the management of the 49ers is and what players should be fired or praised. These shows have far more passion than Rillinois on his most sour posting of Bob. Much of what we do here and on my site is no different. When Steve Young first started, people on these shows hated him and wanted their old Joe Montana... well, Steve Young rose above it and went on to break many of Montana's records. BOTH are now hero's. IF Bob can't take the pressure of close scrutiny, then he really should retire. Life isn't worth it. Still, I won't let it stop me from what I enjoy - discussing financial gurus and their records. They are public figures and are there in the media for that very reason. IF they were not contriversial, then nobody would listen. Kirk
