OT: WCOM! Around the first half of '99, was there a single stock that received a more complete positive mainstream consensus? The boss was a genius. The plan was platinum-clad. The core business was solid and the growth potential infinite. You couldn't turn on a stock market show without hearing some analyst pitching the thing. The hype on other stocks may have from time to time been more absurd, and there's no shortage of other fallen archangels, but WCOM alone would have been enough to make me give up on analysts and turn to TA and swing-trading.
