09:17 ET Sun Microsystems (SUNW) 42 13/16: -- Update -- Stock has been weak in pre-market due to aforementioned short-selling report that apparently cited slowing sales at Sun distributors, but we're hearing that analysts are now arguing that there should be slowing at Sun distributors because Sun is shifting to a direct sales model via the web; stock has rebounded to 42 5/16.

Great call. I didn't know they were so cheap; must've been a PE of less than 14 before today. I don't know the first thing about the chip equipment sector; what's the difference between AMAT and NVLS? I had a downside price target of $54 on AMAT, so I figured around 40 was a pretty safe bet. Don't track NVLS.
