I think I'm going to start calling you Jingo Bells. You've never met a Republican jingo that you didn't eagerly embrace.

As I have opined before: Fine, enforce the Beck decision. Ain't gonna make any difference in labor's effectiveness in national elections. It's the shoe leather that won Michigan and Pennsylvania for Gore on Nov. 7, not political spending.

Political spending will become less and less of a factor in coming years. Most people ignore political TV commercials anymore. Repubs and Big Business poured millions and millions of dollars into TV ads to defeat a pivotal Ohio Supreme Court justice who often has sided with the common working man and against Big Business. She was re-elected by a solid majority on Nov. 7.

I'm just sitting back waiting for the Florida Legislature to do its thing today. It could be a most profitable day in terms of marshaling the troops for future battles.
