Hi Dan, RE: "Have you considered the possibility that some OEMs, presented with opportunity to purchase at AMD's recently announced prices"

No, because I believe OEM contracts are locked down.

Hi Dan, RE: "Have you considered the possibility that some OEMs, presented with opportunity to purchase at AMD's recently announced prices"

No, because OEMs have a lot more to consider than the price this week - e.g. do I want to screw my relationship with the largest, most cost-effective processor provider in the world?

Dan,

<Go to pricewatch.com and compare prices at the speed grades I've listed.

If you were a buyer for Compaq, Gateway, HP, or IBM, and were faced with the two component price lists, what would you have done?>

I doubt that I would go to Pricewatch. I would think these companies deal directly with Intel and AMD.

How do you explain GTW and MicronPC warning? Two of AMD's biggest customers. Everything is possible, however.
