I've sent a copy of my PM to SI Bob so he can see the time stamp. He sent the same PM to toscano, calling me a liar. I hear you about not allowing things to become rigid here, Id, but I also want a forum here for liberals to talk openly without being called names, as I was in Bald Eagle's PM to me. Anyway, I'd like to move back onto the topic at hand and let Bob deal with Bald Eagle. I appreciate what you've said.

I did receive some PM's from Bald Eagle (that were actually very civil discussions that I disagreed with) including this one. In the interest of fairness, I told him I'd post it to the list. (I actually didn't see any public statements that he made that justified his being banned from the list, but that's just my opinion, and I don't know what he PMed you...however, I'd hate this thread to become as one sided and closed off as the moderated porch): I beg to differ. I received a couple of PM myself, IN SPITE of the fact that I never even address the man. The posts to me were clearly incendiary and provocative. To me this is a clear provocation. We, who are the targets of the attacks of right wingers in real life (never mind the cyber bs). Can read these messages loud and clear. I can give you many real life examples, however I will not bore you with them. This thread will not become "one sided" I can assure you of that, my mere presence is testimony to that. It is free of RW-Wackos what I believe we are striving for. Imagine if you will, a no smoking environment. Yes, you guessed it, the smoke, spits, and foul smell of of drunkards is what we intend to keep away. Actually, I would not mind seeing a debate on ... for example: How to fund small children's education. and think of this: Would you rather spend some money investing it on children's education "a la Montessori" or similar... in stead of funding "unemployment benefit to people who have lost their motivations." I would vote yes for the first. I would vote a resounding NO for the second. Ignorance is more expensive than an early education. While we are all born ignorant, not everyone grows up stupid.
