I too am worried about the econcomy. But, ATML has reiterated several times in the past few weeks that its earnings are on track. And now, INTC says flash memory sales are strong.

Furthermore, Nokia gives one heck of a projection for cellular phone growth that is almost too good to believe. One reason for flash memory makers demise has been the slow down in cellular phone cells. Now it appears that cellular phone cells might reaccelerate. And it seems that any slow down in cell phones might be made up in Digital cameras and PDA's.

ATML, SNDK, and SSTI had already factored in a slow down in flash memory sales that has not occured up to this point. The rewards in these stocks are huge. In fact, they are up 10 to 20% today and instituions are still plowing into these guys as we speak. However, anything can happen and I reserve the right to change my mind every hour <g>.

One caveot. There are many other technolgoies that could hurt flash memory including IBM's little microdrives that are starting to be used in handheld devices. This is a huge concern for me. Eventually flash memory will become a cheap commodity. I just hope its a while off.
